Nakhon Si Thammarat Mayor Policy

๑. Politics and Administration

          This is a policy that enables the management of municipal work to be responsive to the needs of the people and to efficiently fulfill the mission of the state. The approach for implementing this policy is as follows:
          ๑.๑ Honor and preserve the nation's institutions, religion, monarchy, and democracy with the king as the head of state.
          ๑.๒ Manage the work by using the principles of good local governance to make the municipality transparent, accountable, and beneficial to the people.
          ๑.๓ Promote and support cooperation between the municipality, the public sector, the private sector, the communities within the municipality, and various organizations to address problems and develop the municipality together.
          ๑.๔ Develop the municipality's management by utilizing up-to-date information technology in operations, to provide services to the public quickly. Additionally, develop online programs that enable the public to access municipal services immediately and at all times.
          ๑.๕ Publicize the municipality's activities through all media channels, making it easy for the public to access information and news widely. Additionally, provide wireless internet in public areas throughout the municipality.
          ๑.๖ Promote the development of employee potential and provide appropriate benefits to employees, to give them motivation and encouragement to provide services to the public.

๒. Infrastructure

          It is a policy that aims to provide safety and convenience to the people within the municipality, and the guidelines for implementing this policy are as follows
          ๒.๑ Develop public utilities and infrastructure throughout the municipal area to be comprehensive and standardized, in order to provide safety and convenience for the public.
          ๒.๒ Constructing and upgrading public roads in the municipal area to meet standards and connect with each other for convenient travel
          ๒.๓ Expanding public electricity services and installing CCTV cameras to cover the entire municipal area to create security for people's lives and property
          ๒.๔ Improving the traffic system by maintaining traffic signals and road signs to meet standards, and collaborating with relevant agencies to solve traffic problems in areas that are congested and unsafe.
          ๒.๕ Improving the water management system by developing new sources of raw water and using modern technology in water production and management to reduce water loss and ensure that the tap water is of standard quality and accessible to everyone.
          ๒.๖ Improve flood control by developing a drainage system, upgrading drainage pipes, digging canals, and improving related machinery and equipment to efficiently drain water out of the area.

๓. Environment and natural resources

          It is a policy to develop the environment in the municipal area to be clean and beautiful, promoting people to take care of the environment together. The guidelines for implementing this policy are as follows
          ๓.๑ Improve the city landscape by adding parks, sports fields, and recreational areas throughout the municipality.
          ๓.๒ Develop public parks to be beautiful and shaded, with sufficient electricity and bright lighting, as well as adequate public restrooms, to serve as a place for exercise, relaxation, and cultural activities, and to become a tourist attraction.
          ๓.๓ Address the problem of systematic waste management by improving efficient waste collection, promoting waste reduction and segregation, as well as supporting the establishment of standard waste disposal facilities.

          ๓.๔ Develop the canals within the municipal area to be clean and encourage community participation in canal maintenance and care.

๔. Social, educational, religious and cultural aspects

           This is a policy to develop the quality of life of the people in the areas of social, education, religion, and culture. The guidelines for implementing this policy are as follows.
          ๔.๑ Support social welfare to assist people throughout their life, from birth to death. Improve the welfare system for the elderly, people with disabilities, underprivileged people, the homeless, pregnant mothers, newborns, and school-age children from families with economic difficulties, to provide a better quality of life.
          ๔.๒ Develop schools under the jurisdiction of the municipality by modernizing school buildings, staff, equipment, and teaching aids. Introduce new technology to enhance teaching and provide regular teacher training to improve the effectiveness and excellence of education.
          ๔.๓ Develop the curriculum to meet modern and standard requirements, ensuring equal education opportunities for all students. Emphasize students' academic performance along with their moral and ethical values. Prioritize the importance of nutrition by providing quality meals in sufficient quantities.
          ๔.๔ Develop standards for early childhood development centers so that children receive appropriate development and nutrition to prepare them for school readiness, and help alleviate the burden on parents.
          ๔.๕ Providing alternative education programs to give children who are disadvantaged the opportunity to succeed in education according to their own abilities.
          ๔.๖ Develop the Nakhon Si Thammarat Learning Park (CLP), a contemporary art museum, and the Nakhon Si Thammarat Museum into modern and innovative learning centers for people of all ages to learn according to their interests and create opportunities for lifelong learning.
          ๔.๗ Promote every religion to play a role in disseminating good teachings, cultivating morality and ethics, and developing a society with harmony.
          ๔.๘ Promote community participation in organizing and conserving local traditions, such as the Ten-Months Sacrificial Rite Festival, Loy Krathong Festival, Nang Dan Parade, and other similar events.

๕. Public Health And Sport

           This is a policy to develop the quality of life for the people in terms of public health and sports, with the following guidelines for policy implementation:
          ๕.๑ Developing municipal hospitals and healthcare centers to be up-to-date and meet national standards, emphasizing proactive community-based services in promoting health, disease prevention, care and rehabilitation. Additionally, working in partnership with health network organizations to provide the best possible health outcomes for people within the municipality.
          ๕.๒ Promote sports and exercise participation with community involvement to encourage people to have healthy and drug-free lifestyles.

          ๕.๓ Establishing a center for the development of quality of life for the elderly, providing sufficient transportation, and offering a variety of activities, as well as providing other health services.

๖. Economy

          This is a policy to promote adequate income for the people to improve their quality of life, leading to better living conditions. The guidelines for implementing this policy are as follows
          ๖.๑ Promoting the practice of self-sufficient economic principles as a way of making a living, increasing income, and reducing expenses to create strength and resilience for families and communities.
          ๖.๒ Promoting increased income for the people by supporting vocational training and providing access to marketplaces for the community to sell their products.
          ๖.๓ Providing access to sales venues for the public, in order to increase their income, as well as improving the market for selling products to meet the standards.
          ๖.๔ Improve the tourism landscape within the municipality by upgrading the facilities and infrastructure to meet the standard and needs of tourists. This includes supporting cultural tourism and sustainable tourism businesses, as well as sports and recreational tourism.
